Two visitors to the deck

Not having too many visitors at my place this winter. Did capture these 2 a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I need to change the type of bird seed, or maybe they are active while I am at work.

Love that male House Finch... I thought we had them--but as my blog states today, they are Pine Siskins (I think) instead. Darn! The picture of the Tufted Titmouse is neat also.

The seed I have out now is: Sunflower seed and chips, Safflower, Thistle and Finch blend, and suet. My birds enjoy the Sunflower seeds and the chips the BEST.
Hugs,
Betsy

These 2 are decent visitors! I say the more variety in the bird seed that you're offering, the better! Those finches love the thistle!

You may not have the number of feathered visitors you would like, but you certainly got good pictures of the ones who came!

Never seen the Titmouse around here. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough. If they are around I will eventually find them. I have a large flock of Goldfinches and House Finches wintering over. You can't go wrong with Niger seed and a mixture of millet and cracked corn. They seem to like all of it along with black oil sunflower seeds.

Great pictures.

I love the titmouse. Have had several at my feeder but can never get close enough to photo.

Nice shots,

Good pictures of the visitors you have. Variety of birds is good ,but at least,in our area we have to enjoy the ones we get. Winter is limited to a few species.

Good pictures of your birds, Leedra! Do you make their picture through the glass when they are on your deck? Seems I can never get as close as you do.

Leedra,

Love to hear your expert opinion on my photo's on my observation blog. I am really loving learning to use the camera.

Link is on my profile if you get the chance.

Thanks,
Craig

Leedra, you are so fortunate to get a shot of one of your titmice. Those birds are so cute, yet so difficult to photograph, because they are so quick at the feeders.
