These are the last photographs of this buck. His antlers were so interesting to me.
You can check out antler information at http://www.buckmasters.com/bm/Resources/Articles/tabid/135/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/1172/Antler-Growth-and-Formations.aspx
As I have said before, the deer at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park are not afraid of people. Just not allowed to touch them.
I actually got between the buck and doe, because I did not know the buck was behind me to begin with. The doe is the 2nd doe in this previous post.
From the last photograph you can see how well they blend with the environment around them, which makes it hard to see them sometimes.

Beautiful! What camera/lens did you use for it?
Gretchen - I have a Canon Rebel XTI and 75mm-300mm. For the full photographs of the buck I had it at 75mm, and still had to back away from the buck.
The deer in Cades Cove are really tame.
Great photo's!
Hey, I lucked out getting #1 on SWF. When I signed on I was actually #3 and I guess the first two got bumped....
Take care!!
Leedra: Nice capture of the little buck.
I'll have to have my husband check these antler out.
He has a set that is deformed where someone told him it has a fly hole in it and a fly laid eggs. ??
Might do a weird object post on that one.
