I live on the other coast of Florida, and one of my favorite things to do is sit on the beach in the afternoon and watch the pelicans dive for their supper. I could watch them for hours :) Love your photos, thanks for sharing them.

These are amazing photos! It can't be easy to catch such a clear photo of birds in flight.
Great shots!
I love the one where the pelican's wings are touching the water - awesome.
I like brown pelicans too. They're fun to shoot. I love these shots and that you got them so close to the water. Great!
More gorgeous pictures, Leedra. Isn't it amazing that those 'brown' pelicans can be so beautiful??? They ARE!
Hugs,
Betsy
What beautiful birds and very well-captured Leedra! Love 'em!
Leedra,
I think my favorite is the last one. You can see the faint reflection of the pelican in the water.

It's something about pelicans that, like arriving at the beach and seeing it, triggers a "relax" mechanism in our mind. They are fun to watch.
Great shot. I like them flying, looking for fish.
I've never seen brown pelicans before. These photos are wonderful.
perfect capture! I love pelicans too, they looks so elegant and impressive.
Hi Leedra, wonderful photos. I have never been able to capture pelicans up this close. Perfect capture.
I felt like I could see them flying across my computer screen. Wonderful!
Great capture - I love those birds; they kind of remind me of Jurassic Park, they look like such an ancient design.
Great flight pictures. I like the second one with the wingtips just touching the water.
Leedra: super pelican photos. I love the second one with the wing touching the water.
These photos are wonderful. I love photographing birds.
I too love watching pelicans in search for food and how they can stall and crash into the water to capture their sustenance.
Oh..what a catch..Love them and I love all the photos of the cabin area and that fence made of logs..

These are all very nice, but I really, really, really like the third photo.
