The road leaving Metcalfe Bottoms Schoolhouse

This is the road as I was leaving the Metcalfe Bottoms Schoolhouse. Notice in the top photo, you can see the fence that surrounds the cemetary up the hill from the schoolhouse.
These are the last of the photos from this visit to Metcalfe Bottoms in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I am sure I will be returning, maybe when it snows.

Yes, Leedra, go back when it snows--especially one of those heavy, wet snows that cling to everything EXCEPT the roads!!!!

What a wonderful road to the schoolhouse. Snow would be beautiful on that old schoolhouse

According to your lovely pictures that is ceertainly a place to go back to.I agree with Betsy that freshly fallen snow would make for some great pictures.

This is beautiful Leedra but it doesn't look like anything more than a path.

These are just beautiful. I especially like the first photo with the fence. I may just have to get this photo and hang it on a wall in my house. It is just lovely.
