Overlooking the valley early morning

As I went on up the highway going to Cumberland Mtn State Park I had to stop at some of the overlooks. It was still early enough the fog was just rising.
Back in the far distance you can Watts Bar Lake. The stack is the Watts Bar Nuclear Reactor. One is in operation, and they have begun the process of starting the other one up. That little spot to the right of the smoke rising is the 2nd reactor.
The last photograph was taken in Grandview, Tennessee. Grandview is about halfway up the plateau. It is very apparent how the area was named. I think the first 3 photographs were probably taken standing in Grandview, but I don't know the area well enough yet to know if I was or not. If not, it was just before I got to Grandview.

Autumn is an incredible beautiful time in the cold climate. Your photos show its glory.
Thank you for stopping by my SW.
Great, that you spotted the Aligator, I didn't notice but now I can see its snout and its eyes.
Well done with your photgenic eye!
Take care and have a lovely weekend.

Leedra! It has been a few days since I have gotten to look at your pics...one word....AWESOME!! You are really capturing the beauty and serenity of your shots. I love them all. Especially the 'sky' shots (here & Fla) and the fall colors. Keep up the good work! (have to go now or my 'boss' may catch me...;-)~ heehee)

Lee, Grandview is ON the Cumberland Plateau. However, the road to Crossville goes across Walden Ridge --into Grassy Cove. There are other mountain ranges in the area also--but it is all the plateau. GREAT pic's.
Hugs,
Betsy

Wonderful autumn shots, especially the first two with the valley fog.
