Mushrooms in GSMNP

The leaf was already on the mushroom. I did not place it there.

See the spiderweb at the top and the bottom of the mushroom.
I just have to get up close and personal. This mushroom was above me, so I was not about to miss the opportunity to photograph from below.

The last photo is great. I just looked at someone's blog, haven't a clue who, anyway they had a post on mushrooms too.

I seen a couple of mushrooms growing out of a tree on Tuesday while in the woods. Unfortunately it was dark before we left the woods and didn't take the same path back out so I could take a picture :-(
Your pictures are just amazing!!
Take care

Today I wouldn't mind being a mushroom if I looked that good.
My favorite is the picture #1.

Love these mushroom photos, Leedra! Really great shots! I always enjoy your macro photography!

To respond to your comment, I actually have not been using the 35 mm much since I've been staying at my Mom's this last 4 months. She and I kind've share her camera, but it is lacking finesse, and she really needs an upgrade. My husband and I have owned Nikons for years and I love using the F-2. We actually gave one to our daughter when she graduated from high school. When I resort to the Nikon, I get a disk with developing so they can go right on the computer. Mom and I are also in the process of scanning all my old pictures (and there are a LOT! so her scanner is probably going to blow up before it over!) so I have access to some of those. I want to get the Nikon digital so I can use all our existing lenses!
