Falls Colors at Spring City Park - Sky Watch

Well, I am back in Spring City for a couple of days. Got up yesterday morning and decided to go up on the plateau to see the colors there. It appears they are a day or two beyond peak. Did get some good photos around the water, I will be posting those later.
When I got back to the valley (I guess Spring City is considered in the valley, either way it is not on the plateau) I went by the Spring City Park and took all of these photographs in the park.
We probably still have a few more days of peak before the leaves start dropping fast. Did you notice I said we? How quick I am adjusting to being here.
Common Buckeye

I was really surprised to see the butterfly in the park. We were told the Monday morning we were gone (vacation) it was 31 degrees. This past Monday morning is was 41. So you would think the days of photographing butterflies would be over until next year. I got excited when I saw the Buckeye, doesn't take much to excite me sometimes.
Please visit Sky Watch Friday to view wonderful photographs from all over the world.

Hi Leedra, thanks for the 'award.' I feel special since I've never received a blogging award before. What do I do????? Your Spring City pictures are gorgeous. Love the butterfly and of course, those maples which are beautiful this time of year. Thanks again for the award! Wow!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Gorgeous fall colors. Our fall colors are past in Minn. but in any case, we are now visiting grandchildren in Colorado and won't be home for a week. I will pick up much appreciated award then. As you no doubt know, telling stories is one of the joys in my life especially when it may bring a smile to someones face. Thanks again Leedra!

These are really great. I'm so jealous of all the fall colors people are posting. They look so nice against the blue sky. All the trees around here are still green... and will mostly stay that way. :-(

I am so envious of your fall colors. They are magnificent. You made my day.

Leedra: Very nicely captured with the Fall colors and I enjoyed seeing a Buckeye Butterfly. That does hit close to my heart as you know.

Hi Leedra,
Great pictures of the trees and love the butterfly. I haven't seen one of those yet. Thanks for identifying the Sourwood tree for me!

Simply gorgeous. There is NOTHING on earth like the colors of fall - especially maple trees. You captured them beautifully.

You are posting what we saw a month ago. Nice to see the beautiful colours again. The butterfly would be quite a find in cool weather.

I love autumn colours, we don't see it so much here, and against that intense blue sky - just beautiful.

My goodness, Leedra, the blue sky in that second photo is so clear and crisp it practically sparkles. Love the paler look of the first photo, too.

These are very pretty. I really love the first two. And I like the Buckeye shot. I also love to photograph butterflies. I got lucky this summer, but haven't seen any lately.
