Chinese Flame Tree in Spring City

I had no idea what these trees were. Until Darla posted them yesterday. A blogger saw my comment of going to post the same tree today and they sent me an email to tell me it is a Chinese Flame Tree (Koelrueteria) They were in a yard in Spring City, Tennessee, October 9. So just a little before the leaves began to turn.
I thought I also saw a group of these on the side of the interstate in Fla a couple of weeks ago.
They are beautiful, just never seen them before.

Yep same tree. It's also called Golden Rain Tree because it has gold blooms instead of pink. I actually got some seeds from my dad. Check it out www.floridata.com and type in Koelreuteria paniculata

I have one of these trees too and had no idea what it was. I thought it was some sort of golden something as it has yellow blooms before those funny dry things. Beautiful

That's a beautiful tree, beautiful color. Does it grow only in the south?

Mary C - I don't know anything about it. Darla might know more, since she has one in her yard. I just happened across this in Spring City.

Beautiful tree! I see them all over the place here in Florida and have always wondered what they were.

I just found your blog through Darla's. Your photography is amazing! :-)
