Wintertime American Goldfinch

These photographs of the American Goldfinch were taken from my new 'blind' I got for Christmas. The blind I received is actually a hunter's blind, but my hubby could not find a photographer's blind.
These photographs have not been cropped at all.
I love the blind, I sure am glad I got it for Christmas. I just set it up on my deck and crawled in. The Goldfinch first had to check it out, and at one point I was afraid he was going to join me on the inside, but then he flew on over to enjoy his meal.
Happy New Year's everybody!!!!

Happy New Year Leedra and my your new blind become much worn in the new year.

Nice shots of the goldfinches, they look so drab in winter compared to their bright summer colors.

HOW FUN IS THAT! ! ! I've imagined being hidden in some way so I could take better photos - what a great idea! May you have MANY happy hours and fabulous shots in 2009 ;)

Congrats on the new blind, Leedra! It is working great for you right from the get-go! I have a pop-up blind that I use around the house and a "drape" blind that I can carry around with me to use in the field.
