These photographs of the American Goldfinch were taken from my new 'blind' I got for Christmas. The blind I received is actually a hunter's blind, but my hubby could not find a photographer's blind.
These photographs have not been cropped at all.
I love the blind, I sure am glad I got it for Christmas. I just set it up on my deck and crawled in. The Goldfinch first had to check it out, and at one point I was afraid he was going to join me on the inside, but then he flew on over to enjoy his meal.
Happy New Year's everybody!!!!

I keep telling my husband that I am going to borrow his pop-up blind! These are wonderful shots.
Very good! Happy New Year to you too!!!!
Happy New Year Leedra and my your new blind become much worn in the new year.
Nice shots of the goldfinches, they look so drab in winter compared to their bright summer colors.
Leedra,
Those are wonderful shots of the Goldfinch! I know you will get such joy from using your new blind! I've got to have one of those;-)
I think that blind is working just fine!! You have fun with it Leedra, just think of all the great shots your going to get!
I expect many more great shots from your blind in this new year. It obviously works just fine!
HOW FUN IS THAT! ! ! I've imagined being hidden in some way so I could take better photos - what a great idea! May you have MANY happy hours and fabulous shots in 2009 ;)
Congrats on the new blind, Leedra! It is working great for you right from the get-go! I have a pop-up blind that I use around the house and a "drape" blind that I can carry around with me to use in the field.
I just love this idea w/ the blind! Great photos of the finch!
Are you tired of that blind yet, Leedra??? I'll be glad to take it off of your hands!!!! ha ha...
I went outside to try to get some bird pictures today and they all went up into the trees and stayed there 'til I went back inside. Darn!!!
Happy 2009.
Hugs,
Betsy
