I know it will be a while before we get back around to this season, but I just had to post some color on this rainy, dreary, cold winter day. The top 2 photos were taken at Newfound Gap. All 3 photos are in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
Love the 'smokies' appearance, it makes me feel like I am at home.
The last photo is along the road somewhere in the park. I can go right to it, but don't know what that are is called.
I am suppose to be working on disk for the photo assignment job I went on yesterday.
Guess I better get to it.

Gorgeous, it's snowing in my part of the world.
Quit playing on the computer and get to work girlie,. guess I could take my own advice. Headed out to stencil a little more on the potting shed. These photos are spectacular Leedra!!
The color today in my world is white. 6 inches of it!!
Jen - Better than I was expecting. My job responsibilities include KY and last night we were looking for snow to hurt my work load. When we left at midnight it had not caused any damage but some of technicians were saying the ice had started. Glad you got snow instead. Or is there ice under the snow?
No snow here --but lots of rain. The birds are hungrier than usual--but then again, they always are when it's either raining or snowing.
Great pictures, Leedra. No matter which season, pictures of the Smokies are wonderful!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Thanks for sharing these photos. We really need the reminder of what will come after these gray, wintry days.
Those are beautiful! And it does make me feel warmer days. :)
I'm glad you posted these gorgeous colorful views! I'm kinda getting tired of looking at the white stuff at my place!!
Fabulous colours Ledra - This has inspired me to follow up on my wife's wish of a holiday to New England to celebrate us both reaching 60 this year.
I'll certainly be back for more inspiration. Frank
BEAUTIFUL photo's!
Take care and be safe out there!!
Beautiful, as usual!! Is it not snowing there yet? We have a new grandson, as of tonight, in Indiana and we are all packed to start out in the morning. We will make the final decision in the morning. Looks bad up that way.
Beautiful shots. They are just what we need to see during this cold, dreary weather.
Your first photo is wonderful and would make a beautiful inspirational card.
There's nothing like beautiful fall colors in the Great Smokey mountains. Great job of capturing the colors at the right time, Leedra.
The colors are so beautiful in these photos. I love the orange in a sunrise.
