These deer photographs were taken March 8, 2008 at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
One week earlier on March 1st I had been in Cades Cove
and it was a beautiful spring like day.

The photos of the deer in the snow really look good. I don't think anything looks better than whitetail deer in a snowy woodland or a field with some moderately tall grass and snow cover.
Leedra, I love the photos of this young deer in the snow, it looks like you were able to get pretty close to him.
