These deer photographs were taken March 8, 2008 at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
One week earlier on March 1st I had been in Cades Cove
and it was a beautiful spring like day.
Mostly God's creations through my lens. Sometimes old buildings and such. Sometimes my own creations through hand knitting and needle felting. And sometimes just life as it is happening.

I've never been to Cades Cove in the snow -- thanks for these fascinating pictures.
Beautiful pictures of the deer and the snow, Leedra. I like your new blog site. You've done a great job.
Hugs,
Betsy
I love the snow sprinkles on its face.
I love this new blog!!!
I see we both love taking deer pics!
Congrats on your new blog! That doe kept her eye trained on you - loved the shots!
Hello..i made it to your new blog...
I have been to Cades cove once...beautiful place!
Beautiful deer!
The photos of the deer in the snow really look good. I don't think anything looks better than whitetail deer in a snowy woodland or a field with some moderately tall grass and snow cover.
Leedra, I love the photos of this young deer in the snow, it looks like you were able to get pretty close to him.
