Flowers of the Rainforest in Costa Rica

I do not know any of the names of these flowers. I just photographed them because I liked them.

The last 3 photographs are of the same plant.
First from the front.
Then from the back.
Then my macro shot. I really like the way this one turned out.

Leedra,
Boy, these plants definitely have that tropical look with all those little hairs growing off of their stems and leaves...that last shot looks like a Georgia O'Keeffe painting!
All of them very interesting, I can why you were drawn to them :)

Nice photos, such details!

Leedra: Those are really nice plants you have shown. I enjoyed all your Casta Rica photos. I have made two trips there myself.

Leedra, I think you definitely caught the "magic" with all your little excursions. These are wonderful photos. That little leaf cutter ant may have taken on more than he could handle. Thanks for sharing such interesting pictures.

Wonderful posts Leedra. Two things: (I alway wanted to go to Costa Rica, so here I got a nice preview, & (2) taking pictures just because you liked the way something looked seems a good enough reason to me.

These are plain gorgeous! Now I need a pina colada! (Or what do they drink there in Costa Rica?)

Beautiful, Leedra, whatever they are... I love those big 'elephant' leaves. The colors are so vivid..I still cannot get over the fact that you can ride a tram through the Rain Forest. Amazing.
Hugs,
Betsy
