I really get a kick out of the American Anhinga as they try to air dry. Notice how the light comes through his neck. And look at those feet!
They stretch...
Then they stretch some more....
Then they try stretching out flatter.
These photos were taken at Lake Seminole Park during our October 2008 visit.

You captured some great exercise photos!!!
His feet remind me of a little ole puppy with great big feet!
These are comical looking birds.Great shots.

That is one strange looking bird. They must be related to comorants somehow.
These are wonderful...glad you pointed out the feet because I am not sure I would have noticed them!
This is so neat. I love watching birds. Such a pretty bird too.
Great shots Leedra, love this imagry. He is certainly one very beautiful bird.
New bird for me, he's pretty funny.
These are fun photos. In the last picture he looks like a plane getting ready to take off.
Loved the 'stretching'. Leedra this brought back memories of seeing just the head & neck swimming above the water during a visit to Florida many, many years ago. Thanks FAB
Wow! He is magnificent and sure was showing off for you!
Awesome pictures. I especially love the last photo, because he looks like he is sunning.
You are so right..these guys always put on a great show of bend and stretch..and as you pointed out what a set of paws on that guy!! lol
Your pictures are great and you certainly captured him at his best!!
Leedra: That reminds me of the Cormorants and their antics.
