As you can tell these Canadian Geese photos at Veterans Park were taken in the fall.
I have been posting duck photos from our recent trip to Florida.
Thought I should drop back and post some from East Tennessee.
I was spending a lot of time at Veteran's Park until we bought our house in Rockwood.
Now I don't live in a motel half of the week (Woo-Hoo!), instead live in Rockwood half the week. The motel was very close to Veterans Park in Spring City, Tennessee, so I usually spent my mornings at the park.
Thought I should drop back and post some from East Tennessee.
Since Rockwood is 10 miles closer to my work than Spring City I am not sure how much I will go to Veterans Park. I have not been there since we were in the motel.

These Canada Geese--Scientific name: Branta canadensis are one of my favoriteds.
Such beautiful shots, esp with the colorful trees! I love the shot of the geese taking off in flight from the water.

Well your Florida pictures are nice--but there's nothing like East TN--especially in the fall.
You'll have to find a park closer to Rockwood now...

Looks like a great place for the first spring picnic. Spring still seems far away here though.
The area looks great in fall and it must be a magnet for water fowl in spring.

I would like to just get lost in these pictures...love the first one and the one with the geese either taking off or landing.

These are beautiful shots. I'd like to go back to Watts Barr Lake sometime. I've been in the area twice for the Japanese Quilt show in the fall at Athens, TN.
