Turtles from the Florida Everglades.
After we got off the cruise ship we needed to travel to the other side of Florida to our time share. We had over 24 hours to do this, and Jimmy had mentioned recently he would love to really see the Everglades. So here we were close by, with some time to spare. We decided to take a air boat ride through the Everglades. It was just as enjoyable as any tour that we took from the cruise ship (and at a real reasonable price). I will be sharing more photos later, this is just the start.

A great picture!
Great photo of these turtles sunning themselves!
Oh I bet that ride was Fun!
What a lovely photo of these turtles in the sun! I remember going through the Everglades years ago as a child and I was quite impressed. I would love to do it again someday as an adult.
I always thought I'd like to see the Everglades too.
Wonderful shot of the turtles!
This must have been a great side trip from your vacation - looking forward to seeing the rest of your pics.
That bottom one looks very comfy :-) Trutles are so funny to look at as they enjoy the sunshine.
Very lovely place and some great photos. The turtles are so cute.
I like your turtle pictures.
Leedra I love your turtles and need to check on mine. They're visible from the side of the road until the reeds grow up and then we can't see them the rest of the summer. Your shot it great!
Neat picture, Leedra. We saw a turtle sunning himself when we were at Lake Catherine last Monday. He was not a pretty as yours though!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
I have to ask, which air boat ride did you take? Hopefully it was the Coopertown one!! That is the best in Florida, and I stop there when ever we are crossing the state and have time. Also a great place to shoot photos is at the Big Cypress stop on 41 as you cross the bottom of the state, it has tons and tons of huge fish and 'gators galore!!!
Anonymous - We did ride the airride at Coopertown. One of the tour guides there is who told us where to stop along 41 to see lots of gators and birds. He was so nice to tell us that, and I have a large number of photos to post from the trip across hwy 41 thanks to him telling us.
