This is the green part of the 3 post. Decided to post early for St Patrick's day.
We rode the tram through the rainforest. Considering the rain they had the previous week, I found it to be dry at this height. That is one of the trams coming toward us.
Not real good for photography, and I was disappointed in the lack of birds and animals.
On the tram we saw very little color.
Tomorrow I will post flowers from the floor of the rainforest. They like to see the holes in the greenery at the top of the rainforest.
It means the insects are doing their job to help the plants at the bottom of the rainforest.
The insects eat the holes and that lets the light get to the bottom.
Evidence of woodpeckers, but we didn't see any.
I don't know the names of these trees, they called them broccoli trees.
Notice the new growth on this old tree.
As you can tell we are looking down at the rainforest at this point,
so we were up there.

Beautiful. You know I'm going to say - looks like LA!
Beautiful Leedra--getting to take a tram through the Rain Forest. Interesting about the insects putting the holes in the leaves --which helps get light to the bottom. I had never heard that before.. Sorry you didn't see any birds or wildlife. Maybe they stay away when the trams are coming.
Thanks!!! GREAT pictures.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh I went on a Missions trip to Costa Rica!! Love the rain forest and the Sloths!!!!
It does like like a nice tram ride - birds or no bird! Those broccoli trees do look like that vegetable!
Wow, lovely photos. Costa Rica has always been a place I have been curious about.
I've scrolled through your previous posts and caught up on some of your adventures.
I tram ride through the rainforest - that in itself sounds wonderful. I'm sorry you didn't see many animals but I would think it such a thrill to just see it.
I'm a little 'green' with envy on this St. Patrick's Day. :)
It still looks like a great area to ride a tram through! :) Beautiful green!
Beautiful photos. I find it very interesting about the insects putting holes in the leaves to let light in.
Such fun photos. I appreciate you sharing your visit with all of us.
Fascinating photos. Thank you! Keep posting!
Okay my bags are packed and I'm ready to go to this beautiful place! I can only imagine how much fun y'all must of had. That tram ride had to be fun even tho you didn't get to see too much wildlife.
Now weren't you on a cruise? If so, what ship?
Beautiful, I have been browsing all your Costa Rica photos. My mom and I almost went there 2 years ago, and then changed our minds at the last minute and went to Puerto Rico instead! I still want to go to Costa Rica someday...
How wonderfully green and lush. It's like visiting a whole different world or planet. Looks like a fun trip.
Susie - You reminded me that I should say that again. We were on the Coral Princess, Princess Cruise Lines. Main attraction being the trip to Panama Canal, Costa Rica was one of the side stops. I am saving the photos of the canal until last because I have so many to go through in the canal passage.
