Daffodils in the Rockwood yard

Spring has been such a nice surprise at Rockwood.
Not just the different birds I am adding to my lifer list.

But there are flowers everywhere. Notice in the background the greenery.

That appears to be Siberian Iris, by the thousands.

I love these white daffodils.

I have some of these in the stained glass I did of daffodils.

This clump will be moved to our home.

I always leave some when I transplant,

in this case I will probably move some to

somewhere else in the yard

instead of where they are.

The flowers look like happy little faces gently swaying in the breeze. Very pretty photos Leedra.

I do like those little white daffodils for their understated beauty. Very lovely images of flowers different from those growing here in the desert where I live. Thanks for sharing!

I remember picking the white ones as a child and putting them in colored water to watch the petals change. I love those flowers and they take me back to my childhood. :)

I love those little daffodils also, Leedra. We have several of them in our yard that Dad Adams gave us when we moved here.

Looks like someone lived in that Rockwood house at one time--who loved pretty flowers.

Hugs,
Betsy

Leedra: I love to see the flowers as they bloom. We are a little ways until this happens but I am waiting.

Leedra, the white ones are Poeticus Narcissi and could be "Pheasant's Eye" a very old variety. Does it flower fairly late?

I love daffodils, such smiling harbingers of spring. There are some already planted here, but I hope to plant more this fall.
