Early Stage of Waterlily Buds

Various waterlily buds we saw while visiting Perry's Water Garden in North Carolina.

Not sure about this one, would have loved to seen one of these open. May not even be a water lily, but obviously it is a water plant.
There were lots of dragonflies around that day, but they were very active.
So they were very hard for me to capture with my camera.

Beautiful pictures of the water lily buds. And that's a nice picture of the dragonfly.

Good Morning Leedra-- I love your pictures of the water lily buds.. Isn't it interesting to photograph things at different stages of development.. That certainly helps me become more aware of my surroundings.

Hugs,
Betsy
P.S. Tired of that Blind yet??????

It is great to see these beautiful buds, especially on a day when it is -28C here and blowing snow.

Leedra I love that first photo with the beautiful soft colors and I'm sure it will make a great card for your 2009 collection.

It's beautiful how the colours emerge so gracefully and elegantly and I love the dragonfly on top of the flower. Beauty attracts Beauty.

A wonderful series. If I had to pick a favorite, I think it'd be the 4th one. They're all lovely.

The dragonfly on the bud was great to see. These buds all have their own individual beauty.
