Deer in the snow at Cades Cove one cold March day

These deer photographs were taken March 8, 2008 at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
One week earlier on March 1st I had been in Cades Cove
and it was a beautiful spring like day.

The photos of the deer in the snow really look good. I don't think anything looks better than whitetail deer in a snowy woodland or a field with some moderately tall grass and snow cover.
