The first 2 photographs are the Royal Tern.
The last 2 photographs are the Sandwich Tern.
The bottom photograph you can see the pale tip of the bill.

2nd day at sea all day. Maybe I will see those birds that live out
in the ocean water and never come to shore.

those terns are pretty neat looking birds!
You must know your terns well, I can't tell one from the other;-) Beautiful pictures! Hope you don't get sea sick.
These are great!! I love terns - I saw my first common tern last year.
Great looking birds. I have never seen them before.
Very interesting! I've never seen either one.
Wonderful pictures, Leedra. I hope you're enjoying your cruise.
Hi Leedra, Hope you are having a great time on your cruise.. I'll bet you take 10000000000000's of pictures!!!!
Then when you get to St. Pete Beach, you'll get to see these birds (in our pictures) in PERSON... Yeah!!1
Schools still closed in Sevier and in Cumberland Co.. We still have snow--although it is supposed to warm up this weekend... It was 7 degrees this morning! Wonder why we're not on the cruise with you!!! Ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Hi Leedra, how did you know Terns are one of my favourite summer visitors?
Sandwich & Royal's both with their 'punky' hairdo's. I was also fortunate to see 00's of Royals at Bolivar Flats (Texas) many years ago - thanks for bringing back good memories. Frank
P.S. Verification was 'wings' how appropriate.
Very nice comparison shots.
Blessings,Ruth
Ahh beach birds. That would be nice!!! It was minus 12 here this morning. ugh!
Those are some wicked looking beaks there. Maybe they need counseling?
Great shots! Oh, to be in Florida!
