These photographs of the Damselfly were taken in October, 2008. I wonder if they will be flying in February. I will be looking for them when I visit Lake Seminole Park this week.

his eyes look like glowing jewels! Nice!
Skinny little thing!
I tried and tried to capture a dragonfly last summer with no luck! I don't know why, but I really like them.
I really like these macros. Well done!
Awe---critters like these are pretty in pictures.. BUT--I don't care for them flying around..
Question: How did you learn the names of all of these critters and all of those big birds???? I wouldn't have a CLUE about most of them!!!
We used to have a bug of some kind (my mother called it a June Bug) come to our yard in the summer when I grew up in southwest VA... There were TONS of them and they'd buzz around you like a bee--but wouldn't sting. I still didn't like them!!!! To this day, I wonder what they were and whether they still land in southwest VA in June???
Hope you are having fun.
Hugs,
Betsy
