Carved fruit on the Coral Princess cruise

The carved fruit was on our cruise we took in February 2009
on the Coral Princess. Unlike the desserts, these were not eaten.
These are as much imagination as talent.
My favorite was the watermelon man.

What cute creations! It's all I can do to simply slice one, let alone make it pretty!

It certainly would be hard to eat such beautiful creatures. That watermelon looks absolutely like a spirit that has come to life. Amazing artistry! It must have been a fun trip.

Hi. I live in Bermuda and every year around this time we have an Agricultural show. All the school children make figurines out of fruit and put them on display. I really like your watermelon man (Herbie Hancock)too.
