Even though I don't get much computer time, I do still take the camera outside.
And I do still have birds in the yard, although these photographs were taken a couple of months ago (May, 2010). They are also greatly cropped.
Eastern Bluebirds are the first birds I ever really noticed.
They were my earliest bird watching.
They were my earliest bird watching.
Someday I will actually retire and watch the birds more often, probably while I sit on the back porch and knit.
Jimmy must be planning on me doing that some in Rockwood, he just finished a deck there. Think that is a hint for me to retire and be there with him full time?

Jimmy's deck in Rockwood would tempt me to retire and enjoy God's beautiful world while knitting works of "heart." I know you two miss each other terribly. Your bluebirds are so pretty. I have had one for about 2 weeks who apparently sees himself in the window and "fights" with it! Of course, he decided to do that first thing this a.m.
Have a good weekend Leedra.
Yes,I think you should make use of that deck as much as possible. The Bluebirds are always a treat.

Hi Leedra, The Bluebirds are some of my favorite birds... Glad you have them in your yard also.
Maybe you should retire --to be able to spend more time with Jimmy--and the grands... That deck would be a big temptation..
Hugs,
Betsy
Your bluebirds are as gorgeous as ever. I love the way the light catches their colors. They are gems.
Now, Go to Rockwood, click those needles and smile.

Good Morning Leedra! Your pictures of the bluebirds are gorgeous! I'm sure they will appear on some of your greeting cards! Take it from me, retirement is great! I would be headed for the deck soon.
What a pretty, pretty bird. I wish we'd get them this far but we don't. Retire? What's that?
Jimmy has the right idea - and we would love seeing more! Great captures with your lens.
Being able to spend more time on the deck is a definite plus for retirement. Once you decide to do it you'll wonder why you held off for so long.
I love watching bluebirds! Your first shot is my favorite although they're all great!
Yes..go watch bluebirds from the deck!
When I got my Bluebirds, that's when I really really got excited about birds.
My second brood this year is just about ready to take flight.
Enjoyed your lovely photos. My husband builds Eastern Bluebird houses. You can see them at
