Common Columbine

I sat and photographed this common columbine bloom as the light changed,
but I like the first photograph the best.
Very slight difference in the 2nd and 3rd photograph.
I have 4 or 5 clumps that look like this.

The top on was my favorite as well - I liked the deepened background colors.

I don't think I have ever seen bright red ones like that. Usually I see pinks and purples and yellows. You pictures show great detail. Columbines are one of my favorite spring flowers.

Beautiful! I agree that the first one is the best. I have several of this same columbine, only mine are just starting to poke up some shoots. I'll have ot wait a bit longer for blooms.

Hi Leedra, Your columbines are so sweet. That is a flower that does not grow well for me so I especially enjoyed these photos. You must have perfect growing conditions as yours are so healthy. Blessings to you and yours this Sunday and Happy Mother's Day next week!
