Snow in East Tennessee

Some of what we saw around East Tennessee this morning. Our house as we returned from driving around.

Some color in the snow.
My daylilies still trying to bloom. Several buds left, they probably won't bloom now.

Encore azalea, this is a repeat bloomer.
And my crazy iris.

There have been alot of predictions about our winter having more snow this year. If this morning is any sign I may get some good snow photos this year.

I'm so envious of your snow! We have none downstate but it is snowing up at the cabin - hope to make it up there next weekend. Loved your photo especially of the colored bloom in the snow! :-)

Wow, your house is gorgeous!
My parents live in east TN, south of Knoxville. My mom said they had about 2" of snow today! We live in upstate NY and have NO snow!

Hi Leedra,
We finally got about 3 inches last night, nothing blooming though because it's been cold for a while. Pretty when it first snows isn't it? After that it seems to be too cold and wet.

Looks like those poor little flowers were caught off guard.

I love fresh snow! But not only that, I truly love seeing snow on flowers! It seems out of place, but the white makes the colors of the flowers pop. :)

I like all the snow kissed buds Leedra. The first pic could be a postcard.

Beautiful colors peeking through the snow. I have no flowers at my house these days.

The snow is so beautiful. I like the first photo of the barn with the old trucks. This picture would look good in one of your greeting cards. I'd say your right about the flowers not going to bloom now, but you never know.

Amazing that these flowers are trying to bloom!

Kind of strange seeing those beautiful flower poking thru the snow. Ours are usually long gone from freezing before the snow arrives.

Your blossoms are very sturdy to stand up to the snow, they look very pretty in their white coats.
I especially like your first picture.
A delightful post, as always.
Happy Holidays.
Sunny :)
