Purple Siberian Iris

These Siberian Iris are in a group in front of the regular iris flowerbed.
Another flower we got from John and Lindsey's first yard. I love the way this bud looked.

The post is how we blocked the driveway when we first bought the property.
We also have a large amount of these same iris in Rockwood. We are going to be doing some transplanting to home. We want to line both sides of the driveway with Siberian Iris.

Hi Leedra, We have some of these Irises also. I always called them American Irises--but realized recently that they are really Siberian Irises.. Gorgeous!!!!

Your photographs are just lovely Leedra. Enjoy the weekend.

Shelley - Come get them!

Mary - I don't really plant them next to anything else. I agree this iris will choke out other flowers. They need to be given plenty of room. I don't plant them in my flowerbeds close to the house, because I like variety there.

Love those last two pictures! I have an iris that is similiar to this that I have not posted....I think mine are a little bit darker.

That's so fun the layout you presented from bud to bloom to many blooms :)
