Mallard Ducks at Fountain City Duck Pond

The Fountain City Duck Pond is a landmark in Knoxville. When giving directions in the area the question is always asked
"Before the duck pond, or after the duck pond?"
Back in early March of this year I visited the duck pond with camera in hand,
and did capture some photos worth keeping.

Notice the reflection in this one, he appears to have his bill open,
but then he also appears to have 3 heads.
You can always click to enlarge for better viewing.

Hi Leedra, That brought back memories. When my oldest son was little, we would take him to the Fountain City park and feed the ducks. At that time (in the late '60's) we lived in Knoxville --and I taught school at West High School. Seems like an eternity ago.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

Nice! Ducks and geese are a lot of fun to watch when they are grooming. They work so hard to make their feathers look nice and get in such interesting postures.
