Beautiful morning

The yard is beginning to recover a little from the hail damage of 4/27/11. I have one bloom on two different hydrangeas. You can see just a little hail damage on the greenry.

My daylilies are going to bloom, but it appears that all my asiatic and oriental lily bulbs have been eaten by something since last year. I had a 12 ft, by 3 ft patch, and a single row about 20 ft long. Not one single sprout this year. I don't know what else other than some critter must have enjoyed the taste. Thank goodness they don't like daylilies.

The roofers came today and are hard at work.

Hi Leedra, I haven't been here for quite a while but I saw your blog pop up in my side-bar and had to visit. So glad I did as I have enjoyed catching up. This photo is lovely. Hope your roofers get the work done soon. Don't know how they do it in such heat. That's something we have to get done sometime soon.

Beautiful Day! Beautiful Flower!

It's nice to hear from you. It is so disappointing when flowers vanish over the winter. Here in the woods I have given up on a lot of things because my little woodland neighbors seem to prefer to eat them.

It's interesting that you are getting a new roof. That might be part of our summer too, and I'm not looking forward to it.

I see from your sidebar your are still making a lot of pretty purses. I have always done a lot of sewing and smocking, but this past six months I have started quilting and have been enjoying it immensly. I'm finally starting to feel really retired, and I like it.

Have a great day!

There is something comforting and old fashioned about blue hydrangeas, I love them. I remember your large area of day lilies, can't wait for you to share them. Sorry about the others, :(

I love hydrangea! Beautiful photo. I have a blue hydgrangea behind my house, but it isn't blooming yet. I'm sure it will soon though.

Lovely photo of your beautiful hydrangea. I have always loved their beautiful blossoms. I used to have a beautiful bush when I lived in Seattle many years ago, but they don't do well here in Alaska.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and commenting. I really like the hydrangea photo and it reminds me of my mother. They were one of her favorite flowers and she loved to grow them.

Sorry to hear you had hail damage. A hail storm that severely damaged a lot of houses and cars missed us by just a few miles. This has really been a strange spring.

Oh I just love Hydrangeas! They are so beautiful. I was just at the store yesterday looking at them with my hubby, and I said - I want one of each!

BTW - this is itsJUSTme (you had a hard time figuring out it was me last time with my new book blog.)
