Variegated Fritillary and bees

Just a beautiful Variegated Fritillary Butterfly on a "beautiful flower" as Mason says as he snaps that bloom off and gives it to me.
Mason does love to pick his Granny's flowers,
but on this day the butterfly was allowed to enjoy the bloom by itself.
That is until the bee came along.
And then a second bee came along, and the butterfly was gone.
Notice the pollen sac on the 2nd bee.

Me too! Great pictures Leedra!
When my son was little he brought me a bucket full of tulip blooms. Best bouquet I ever got. ;)

Share and share alike.... There's room for both a bee and a butterfly on that flower. Great pictures, Granny. Are you teaching Mason NOT to pick the flowers --but just to smell them???? Big challenge for a little boy!!!

We went to the Smokies yesterday.. Trying to go a few times before the October crowds get there...

Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
P.S. Have you ever done a 'card signing' at Grove Park inn???? That would be neat.

Wow! These are incredible photos! How great to see the butterfly and the bee on the same flower, and then the two bees. Good work!
