Why I don't have Hummingbird feeders at my house

This is why I don't have Hummingbird feeders at my house. All of these photographs were taken last year at my neighbor's house after I took my feeders down.
I tried again this year, but the bees returned.
And you thought ants were a problem.
The last photograph was taken next to Bill's garden. I think he was trying to pull them away from the feeders, but it didn't work. This one was taken at the same time as the others.

Gosh, now we know where all the bees went to..Bill's house!! I have some bees that hover near my feeder but with the bee guards on the feeder they don't seem to interested. My hummers perch and sip all day long!
I'm not sure if this is good or bad as I know we are short on the bees..??

Try hanging a zip lock bag filled two thirds with water near the feeder. It has always worked for me.

Do you ever try the bee guards? They seem to keep them away. I have more trouble with ants and have to keep filling the ant guards because the smaller birds like to drink from them.

Tina and Mary - Right now with all I have going on in my life I just decided they can either spend time with my flowers or go to the neighbor's feeders. He has some for the bees now and some that the bees don't go to, so he must have guards on some of the feeders. Have seen some in the flowerbeds this summer. Not there enough to keep up with the feeders anyway.
