Dragonflies are not the easiest thing to see in the woods.
Not exactly what a person is looking for either.
But I had to try to capture them with my camera,
because I find they don't normally want to stay still long enough for a photo.
This last photo is a different dragonfly. Notice the wings.
It was just a few feet away from the first one.

Leedra: Neat captures of the dragonflies. It won't be long and we will have some up North.
Wonderful pictures leedra! I love dragon & damsel flies and can't wait to try to get a picture of one.
These are great! I love taking photos of dragonflies but haven't seen any here yet. I had begun to learn the names last year, but will probably have to look them all up again (should have left them on my sidebar). I'm pretty sure that last one is a White something.
Lucky you! I hardly ever can get a decent photo of one of these little creatures. Good job.
Leedra, You captured some great pictures of the dragonflies. I especially like that last one.
Gorgeous morning here. I have all of my windows/doors opened. Love to hear the birds sing. They woke me up at 5:45!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
At first I thought the last one was a mutant, but I guess it is just different! Isn't it amazing the way the light shines through the wings?
They are neat little creatures and they blend in with the woods so well. I really like the last photo. Great shots.
I find dragonflies very interesting and I'm glad you shot these! Nice shots!
I wish I could get just one good photo of one!
Great shots of these insects.
Blessings,Ruth
I think they are such neat creatures. I saw a tiny one the other day but unfortunately I didn't have my camera.
I really like the bottom photograph. Nice photography all.
This has been my first visit to your blog.
Great dragonflies and in February no less! Wow!!
