Waterlilies - different colors

Some of the variations of waterlilies we found when we visited
Perry's Water Gardens July 4, 2008.

I just loved the purple one, we had seen so many of the pinks and whites by the time we got to these were ready for a change. They had very few purple waterlilies.
We should be in Limon, Costa Rica today,
hopefully visiting the tropical jungle.

Pink Waterlilies - different types

Variations of pink waterliles we saw at Perry's Water Gardens
when we were there July 4th, 2008.
We should be in Cartagena, Columbia today.
Eleven years ago today I married my best friend, Jimmy.

Early Stage of Waterlily Buds

Various waterlily buds we saw while visiting Perry's Water Garden in North Carolina.

Not sure about this one, would have loved to seen one of these open. May not even be a water lily, but obviously it is a water plant.
There were lots of dragonflies around that day, but they were very active.
So they were very hard for me to capture with my camera.

Life cycle of a waterlily

All of these photographs were taken at Perry's Water Garden in North Carolina.
They were all taken July 4, 2008,
I have just been very slow at getting back to seeing what I captured that day.

And the cycle begins again.
Hope everybody has enjoyed a touch of July this cold December day.

Fading Water Lily

Just a sneak peek, with a LOT more to come. This one from the trip to Perry's Water Garden last weekend. This lily is beginning to fade, but I like how all the shedding parts were collecting in the petals. I still have not had time to go through all the photos from Perry's Water Garden. I won't even promise next week. I do still have a 40 hour week job, and then on Thursday I had a photo session with Ashlei. Plus she is getting married next weekend. Busy, busy, busy.
