Open Hearth Daylily, I have had this daylily for about 15 years.
One of the first daylilies I ever bought.
Oakes Daylilies is where I buy all of my daylilies. They are friends of the family, but they also give the customer very large starts when you order. They ship everywhere, but I just pick mine up. Now I go to the festival every year and buy the ones they have picked out (at great bargains). When I get my catalog every year it is so hard, I want them all. But I make myself wait until the festival. Jimmy has already prepared the place for this years daylilies, as the festival is this Friday.

This is a very pretty daylily Leedra. I wish I could visit Oakes with you. We've been before and had so much fun. It's tough to make a decision on what to buy when faced with so many pretty flowers! Have a great time!
Those lilies are really pretty Leedra. I hope you enjoy the festival. I look forward to seeing what you get!
GORGEOUS!The picture is so bright and clear.
Blessings,Ruth
They are gorgeous! My personal favorite is Calla Lillies. I once got a bouquet of Stargazer Lillies and I never imagined how strong the smell was. When I would walk into the kitchen, my eyes would water. They are so beautiful, but have a very strong odor.
I love the colors of this flower!
This is a very beautiful Daylily! Would like to see all of yours at the same time, and in person!
You just gave me a second site to look at daylilies--I really think I need to get quite a few of these. This one you show is gorgeous...and I like the one below.
The crimson and yellow color is a beautiful combo!
I also love the brown and yellow below - great macro too.
Leedra,
I enjoyed catching up on your blog today as I haven't been over for awhile. The flowers are so beautiful.
It was interesting to read about your meeting with the fellow bloggers. It is amazing how the internet lets us share with people of similar tastes throughout the world and it is truly special to get to meet these folks face to face.
This is a beautiful daylily. I know how you feel when you look at a catalog. I wish we could get more daylilies in our yard.
These are wonderful! I love all the varities of daylilies and enjoy seeing so many different types everywhere.
Hi Lee, We have not been to Oakes--but have heard of them. IF I went to a Daylily Festival---I'd come home with enough to put in everyone's yard in Fairfield Glade. We don't have room for anymore right now.... DARN!!!!
Love your Open Hearth Daylily...We have a similar one--but its petals are more rounded.
Love you,
Bets
